Judy acquired an interest in wood at an early age while helping her dad build their house. Her first exposure to a lathe, was while I was attending classes at the Kansas City Art Institute and building furniture. Judy collects and use many exotic woods from a variety of countries. The more unusual the wood, the more attracted she isto it. It’s a bit of an obsession as is the woodturning. Judy and Vicki's love of wood and nature is expressed in all their work.
